what is the definition of a healthy competition? i thought it was suppose to create interclass spirits and strengthen ties among the sec1 classes? but why did its outcome contradict its purpose?
1b was playing against 1h in the morning. the few supporters went down to boost the team's morale as well as to cheer for them. obviously the cheerleading part didnt turn out well. we created two new cheers at first, but since everyone was immersed in their own activities and didnt even bother about participating in the cheer, we didnt use them. i got down to the basketball court along with the soccer team to cheer for the bball guys. nonetheless, 1e was a strong opponent and we lost 13:26. fortunately the bball games were in the 'round robin' format and the boys get to compete again with 1g later.
as for the girls, their game was fair play and foul play. the 1h people were strong, but i have to say they were rough too. i was watching them attentively throughout the entire game and realized that the 1h people loved jostling and elbowing. they love falling down pretentiously and whining over a small abrasion too. well, that's just an observation of mine. whether to agree or not, you have your own judgement.
there were 3 injuries in their class. well, like we didnt have any injuries. one of them hurt the knee, allegedly known to have tripped over one of my cls's team member. another fell down on her own all of a sudden on her own at the border of the field while running after the ball. the last was even more ridiculous-- a leg cramp.
after the match, we thought that the dust had settled and the smoke was clear. no. we were wrong. mabel came to look for us while we were playing some lame and boring games at the sec1 study area. at first she was just there to like watch us play out of her boredom. later i think she received a call or something. then she told the team to gather at the study table outside 1c to discuss about a rematch with 1h.
the 1h felt that they didnt deserve to lose and they framed the 1b girls for injuring ALL three of them. they also raked up more about the trivial stuff during the game so as to smear us more.
...
i mean i think both teams are at fault. our team shouldnt have sworn. but, what if they were just swearing to themselves to vent their displeasure? it was the 1h people's problem if they OVERHEARD it. it wasnt directed to them anyway but if they think that they deserve the vulgarity, its their business. what for bringing up more matters? its obvious that they are a petty lot and a lot that prefer to gain over others' loss.
the three key persons and those who cried in their team should all be recruited as actors of the EDS. the EDS needs people like them who can cry anytime anywhere. you should have seen the smirk on the captain's face after the bondians left feeling so accused. and i'd like to ask the captain of 1h's team: where was your bandage after the "debate"? i thought your ankle hurt A LOT? come on, face reality. ask yourself what's your purpose of falling and tearing?
the matter is over now. but can i just request for the 1h people to be more considerate towards others' feelings? i am sure if you were us, you'd fight to the very end too. put yourselves into our shoes, EMPATHIZE.
...
now for our own team's problem. i know that you all feel very dejected after being accused. i understand that the taste of being maligned is no good. i have been through times like this before and the best solution is to cry our hearts out. but thinking back now, was crying the best resort?
in my opinion, ppl cry because of 3 reasons:
1) out of guilt and that they are remorseful
2) telling others that they are in the wrong
3) to earn sympathy and more support
so why did you all cry? do you think dropping out from the second part of the game can solve the problem? i trust that you didnt play foul and that you were playing a fair and square game because i watched you play. but you said you are dropping out because you felt so accused and tired. i know that all of you are like physically and emotionally drained and i feel so stupid for not being able to do anything to help. but if you were feeling unfair and unhappy about 1h's actions, the more you shouldnt drop out. you should prove to them that you are not in the wrong, they were. dropping out not only disappoint your faithful supporters but also tells others that you are wrong when you actually arent. time ticks away even when you feel sad, so why not be happy? the more you feel bad, the more you should prove the accusers wrong. you said that i dont understand, but i do.
只要對得起天地良心, 問心無愧,怕甚麼人言可畏?別人要說就讓他說,反正嘴巴長在他臉上。只要自己認為光明正大,就不用怕呀。今天的事根本就是秀才遇上兵,有理說不清嘛。
so can you tell me what's the purpose of the game? establish friendship or enmity?
p.s mabel is affable. lol.
